On 18 to 19 September 2009, the Energy Efficiency 2009 Exhibition features the conference “Coal Mine Methane Production and Use: Attracting Investments: Investment Attraction”. The preparation of the conference, organizational and financial support was carried out by "Nadra Concern" CJSC with the assistance of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists, information support of the Geologist of Ukraine Magazine, as well as National Agency of Ukraine for Ensuring Efficient Use of Energy Resources, the Ministry of Coal Industry and Donetsk Regional State Administration.

In 2001, at the annual conference EAGE (European Association of Geologists and Engineers), the Ukrainian Association of Geologists was admitted to this reputable institution and immediately became actively involved in its work. In 2009, the delegation of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists again arrived in the capital of the Netherlands for the conference "Innovative Technological Development in Geophysical Research for the Future" held on 08 - 11 June 2019.
