Dear colleagues,

On May 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Geologists” will hold the VII Conference of Geologists of Ukraine at the premises of the Ukrainian National News Agency "Ukrinform". "Ukrainian Geology in the Context of Contemporary Geopolitical Challenges".

DRAFT Agenda:

  1. Opening remarks by Pavlo Zagorodnyuk, President of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists, on the occasion of the Union’s 25th anniversary.
  2. Welcome addresses.
  3. Presentation by Oleh Hotsynets, Head of the Ukrainian Geological Survey — on behalf of the Ukrainian Geological Survey.
  4. Presentation by Stella Shekhunova, Director of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine, Professor, Doctor of Geological Sciences — on behalf of the Department of Earth Sciences of the NAS of Ukraine.
  5. Presentation by Maksym Vityk, Director of Exploration and Field Development at Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC, PhD in Geological and Mineralogical Sciences — on behalf of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.
  6. Presentation by Oleksandr Bondar, Rector of the State Ecological Academy of Postgraduate Education and Management of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine — on the environmental situation in Ukraine.
  7. Presentation by Serhii Vyzhva, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute "Institute of Geology" at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Professor, Doctor of Geological Sciences — on the academic preparation of geologists.
  8. Presentation by Mariia Kurylo, Associate Professor at the Educational and Scientific Institute "Institute of Geology" at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Doctor of Geological Sciences, Expert of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists, and UNFC National Trainer — on international standards in the domestic practice of subsoil use.
  9. Presentation by the Head of the Expert Council of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists — on the project for the development of the Digital Platform ONEGEO.COM.

The finalized agenda of the event will be formed after May 7, 2025, and published on the website of the Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Geologists”.
