This was stated by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, at a briefing following the meeting of the High-Level Working Group on the Environmental Consequences of the War in Kyiv.

Regarding the publication of the draft decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On approval of the Strategy for the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of climate change for the period up to 2035”

The draft decree is developed with the aim of establishing organizational and legal foundations for the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of climate change, with the goal of achieving sustainable development and ensuring an effective transition to low-carbon development for the country, taking into account economic, energy, and environmental security, as well as enhancing the well-being of citizens. It also aims to consider the objectives of the state climate policy during the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
