As a partner of GSEU, the Ukrainian Association of Geologists within the framework of the tasks of Work Package 8 disseminates information regarding some published news and scientific articles in Ukraine on the main thematic areas of the project.

This study outlines changes in the legislation related to state supervision (control) in the sector of alternative energy sources during martial law. The role of state institutions as subjects of state supervision (control) in the electric power sector is uncovered. It is noted that Ukraine is only at the start of developing alternative energy sources, and therefore the legislative framework for the regulation of issues of state supervision (control) must be constantly improved. Therefore, close cooperation with leading countries that have more experience in the sector of renewable energy and the implementation of international norms in the sector of alternative energy sources is of strategic importance for Ukraine, helping the country to solve the energy, environmental and economic challenges of today. For Ukraine, as well as for the EU, the most accessible and alternative source of energy (both electrical and thermal) is solar energy. That is why solar generation is gaining momentum among renewable energy sources.
