The 21st edition of the Seville Science Fair successfully promoted scientific dissemination and innovation. The event included the participation of the CEEGS project. During this fair, students, teachers, and researchers came together to share projects, conferences, and talks, allowing attendees to explore various scientific subjects. The presentation developed by researchers from the University of Seville on the 10th of May was of particular interest, generating anticipation for the CEEGS project. The project focuses on developing a new system that integrates renewable energy and CO2 storage into underground geological formations.

During the 21st edition of the Science Fair held in Seville, the CEEGS project was presented to visitors who passed by the conference stand. On the first day of the event, researchers Andrés Carro and Carlos Ortiz gave a presentation on the CEEGS project at booth 123, which was designated for project dissemination talks. The presentation was aimed at students from all educational levels who attended the event, as well as teachers, professors, and researchers.

Holding science outreach events is always an opportunity to raise awareness among students, young people, families, and society in general about the important work that science can do in society. In this spirit, and to provide a space for the creativity and originality of young people, the 21st edition of the Science Fair in Seville was held at the FIBES conference center on May 10th, 11th, and 12th. During the three days of the event, various topics were addressed and categorized into five general groups: Food and Responsible Consumption, Biodiversity and Climate Change, The Sun: Our Star, STEAM Space, and The First Round-The-World Trip.

As reported by the Network of Science and Innovation Fairs of Andalusia, the space provided for the fair had a total of 123 stands where 6000 students, 800 teachers, and more than 800 researchers from different branches of application participate, making it the largest science fair held in Spain. This event started in 2003 with an attendance of 12500 people. The impact of the event has grown over the years. For this edition, the participation has been as expected, reaching 28,000 visitors over the tree days of the fair.

In the presentation of CEEGS, several aspects were discussed to help the public understand the purpose of the European project. Firstly, Professor Carlos Ortiz introduced the necessity of developing energy storage systems and the importance of storing renewable energy. Researcher Andrés Carro then presented the key features of the CEEGS project, highlighting the innovative concept of an integrated renewable energy storage system and the storage of CO2 in underground geological formations. Following the discussion, the researchers had the opportunity to participate in a debate and visit recommended stands, where they could interact with students, teachers and professors from various institutions at different levels of education, nationally and internationally, who were conducting research projects.

The participation of the CEEGS project in the Science Fair of Seville has provided a positive experience for both the researchers who presented the project and the comments and opinions received from the audience. The significance of organising scientific outreach events for the promotion of sustainable initiatives has been emphasized. The talk delivered within the context of this fair has been an invaluable opportunity to present and generate interest in the CEEGS project. The Science Fair has offered a platform to engage with students, teachers, young individuals, families, and attendees from diverse backgrounds.
