Why is there so little lordly in the Kingdom of Denmark? (Notes from the EAGE Copenhagen Conference

The annual 74th Conference of the European Association of Geologists and Engineers (EAGE) took place in the capital of Denmark, jointly with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) on 4-7June at the Bella Exhibition Center.


The scientific program contained the following geological topics:

  • Exploration - perspective areas, objects and their evaluation.
  • Geology of carbonate and fractured reservoirs.
  • Study of analog deviations and section modeling.
  • Oil systems - source rocks and basin-level hydrocarbon migration.
  • Petrophysics.
  • Spatial heterogeneity of collectors and analysis of the screening ability of faults.
  • Mountain Physics.
  • Sedimentology and structural and regional geology.
  • Creating and updating three-dimensional models of subsoil structure.

The conference gathered, including the industrial exhibition, nearly 6,200 participants and more than 360 companies, organizations, publishers and societies, presented 431 oral and 387 poster presentations from most countries of Europe, America, North Africa, Asia and Australia in 123 (! ) thematic sections in the following general areas: geophysics, geology, reservoir rocks, multidisciplinary approach to data integration, near-surface geophysics, as well as general issues.
