The conference was organized by the Ukrainian Association of Geologists.
The conference was attended by more than 20 organizations: the State Commission on Minerals of Ukraine, Nadra Integrated Solutions LLC (Kyiv), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Institute of Geological Sciences of Ukraine of NAS of Ukraine (Kyiv), Institute of Surface Chemistry named after O.O. Chuika of NAS of Ukraine, Russian Geological Society (Moscow), National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets (Kyiv), Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation named after M.P. Semenenko of NAS of Ukraine, secondary schools in Kyiv: No. 256, 13, 315, French Lyceum named after Anna Kyivska (Collège Anne de Kiev), Kharkiv Regional Station for Young Tourists at the Kharkiv Regional Council and others. In total, 55 participants from Ukraine, Russia, France had the opportunity to listen to 24 reports delivered by leading geologists, environmental specialists, education representatives (both teachers and students), and medical professionals.
Issues discussed included: current issues related to the current geological education situation, the state of the geological environment and its impact on the health of the population. The participants of the conference acknowledged the fact that the prevention and effective implementation of new programs for the study of geological space and overcoming the negative impact of geological features on the health of the population requires state support and constant attention from public organizations.
The welcoming speech was made by the Candidate of Geological Sciences, First Deputy General Director, Chief Geologist of Nadra Integrated Solutions LLC, Hryhorii Oleksiiovych Kashuba and Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, First Deputy Director General of Nadra Integrated Solutions LLC, Bohdan Ivanovych Lelyk.
Chairman of the Conference, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the State Commission of Mines of Ukraine Heorhyi Illich Rudko opened a plenary session with a report that analyzed the state and prospects of development of geologists in Ukraine.
