President of JAS Handed Awards to Sscientific and Pedagogical Workers of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv

On December 1, at the meeting of the Academic Council of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the President of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Stanislav DOVHYY awarded medals on the 200th anniversary of the birth of T.H. Shevchenko on behalf of the Presidium of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and certificates of honor to the leading faculty members of the University who are actively assisting the Junior Academy of Sciences.

The Junior Academy of Sciences and the Taras Shevchenko National University signed a cooperation agreement five years ago. And this year, according to Stanislav Oleksiiovych, more than 200 university professors have joined the JAS events, being scientific supervisors, reviewers, experts, and lecturers.

Anniversary medals were awarded to 15 employees of the university, and certificates of honor were awarded to 18 educators.

Among those who were awarded medals are Viktor Volodymyrovych Ohar, Professor of the Department of Oil and Gas Geology, Doctor of Geological Sciences. Viktor Volodymyrovych is a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The Geologist of Ukraine magazine, chairman of the jury of the section "Geology" of the All-Ukrainian competition of school research works of the Junior Academy of Sciences, an active participant in the project "Depths of Earth, Depths of Soul".
