The conference is organized by the Eurasian Association of Geologists (EASA), the Institute of Geological Sciences of NAS of Ukraine (IGN NAS of Ukraine), the Ukrainian Association of Geologists (the Tutkovsky Institute), the Paleontological Society of NAS of Ukraine.
The support of the conference was provided by NADRA Group.
The conference was attended by more than 130 participants from 47 organizations. The event featured 82 reports by leading experts in stratigraphy and paleontology.
The topics of the reports reflected the latest developments in theoretical and applied stratigraphy. Most of them were devoted to the results of biostratigraphic methods, which traditionally occupy leading positions among other methods of modern phanerosis stratigraphy and upper Precambrian.
These methods helped to stabilize the borders of many divisions of the International Stratigraphic Scale, facilitated the modernization of the general stratigraphic scales and stratigraphic codes of Russia, Ukraine, and other countries. International cooperation in this area continues to develop actively, which will be facilitated by the newly formed association - the Eurasian Association of Geologists. On September 26, an excursion titled "Cenozoic deposits in the outskirts of Kyiv" was held for the conference participants.
We are grateful to everyone who attended the conference, and especially to those who were able to come to Kyiv personally. We are convinced that the exchange of views on various aspects of stratigraphy during the conference has become interesting and useful for all participants.
