NADRA Group won the nomination for "Best Scientific and Technical Breakthrough in Energy Efficiency", receiving a special pennant, the petals of which symbolize different types of alternative energy sources, the winner's diploma and an annual subscription to the Energy Saving Magazine. The company presented at the contest a unique new technology of complex solution of the problem of degassing of minefields - “Method of preliminary degassing of coal formation” specially developed for Ukrainian coal fields (Patent No. 35282 dated 10.09.2008). The implementation of the method is carried out by applying the method of gravitational deconsolidation of the solid mass over a bottled area burnt due to underground gasification of an off-spec coal-bearing layer (0.2-0.5 m) to intensify the solid mass degassing. The introduction of this technology into production will solve the following problems: preparing minefields for the safe operation of mines, industrial production of methane from coal fields, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
