The conference is held every two years and brings together scientists, geologists, practitioners, and miners who are involved in coal mining and daily face methane problems in coal fields.
This time, over 100 experts were present at the conference, including representatives of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Luhansk Regional Administrations, the Ministry of Coal Industry, Ministry of Environment (State Geological Service), the State Commission of Ukraine on Mineral Resources, sectoral and academic institutes, business structures and others. Among the invited guests from from near and far abroad were Poland (Center for Coal Electrification and Automation, Katowice), France (A. Poincare University, Nancy), Austria (Leoben Mining University), representatives of SHELL, GreenGas, representatives of Russia (St. Petersburg Technical University, St. Petersburg).
