The Department of Oil and Gas Geology recruited the following experts: Karpenko Oleksii Mykolaiovych, Nesterovskyi Viktor Antonovych, Ohar Viktor Volodymyrovych, Baisarovych Iryna Mykhailivna, Krochak Maryna Dmytrivna.
The first in the history of the newly created department head Karpenko Oleksii Mykolaiovych has noted that the staff of the department of oil and gas geology is ready to solve the tasks set by time and circumstances. The specificity of training qualified specialists in modern conditions requires an immediate response to the challenges of time and market conditions: a wider profile is being formed, training in geophysical disciplines, geoinformatics is being strengthened. The training of specialists at the faculty is carried out using new forms of education and modern information technologies.
The deputy dean for scientific work, candidate of geological sciences, associate professor of the department of geoinformatics Ivan Viktorovych Virshylo acquainted those present with the research possibilities of the geological faculty. He paid attention to the university's status of a research educational institution, close cooperation with a computer center, geographical, physical, mechanical-mathematical faculties and cybernetics faculty, repeated participation of the youth team of the geological faculty in the students' competitions of AAP.
Therefore, the Geological Faculty teachers do their best to provide the industry with qualified, knowledgeable professionals. It is enough for students to have a desire to acquire new knowledge because the faculty has created all the conditions for full-time study.
