Hanna Liventseva, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Geologists, shared her experience of interaction of specialized educational institutions of Ukraine between themselves and foreign institutes and universities, international organizations and associations; spoke about the close and productive cooperation of educational institutions and business structures, state enterprises and the like; acquainted with the directions of career guidance.
Moreover, the first in Ukraine Center of Expertise in the field of Energy was presented as part of the new project "Centers of Expertise". The Center of Expertise in the field of Energy is an association based on the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy (Kharkiv), universities and companies in the energy industry, including small and medium-sized businesses. The aim of the Center is to create a platform for the interaction of students, teachers and business representatives for the development of the sector, the exchange of experience, the establishment of cooperation and the expansion of human resources.
The “Centers of Expertise” project was founded by CSR Center in 2018. The idea to launch such a project came from the Netherlands, where similar projects have been successfully operating since 2011.It is an example of powerful partnerships between educational institutions, companies, government, and public organizations.
The Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy in Kharkiv was the first university that joined the project choosing the Energy sector. The Academy has a powerful department of energy, energy-saving technologies and automation of energy processes, trains specialists in 12 areas. The center will be opened on the basis of the Academy, it will be joined by other universities having appropriate departments and expertise in the field.
