The Head of the State Geological Survey informed the foreign partner about current opportunities for developing critical mineral deposits, provided details on the existing legislation, and shared the government’s plans to announce tenders for production-sharing agreements on critical mineral deposits in spring 2025.
Steve Walsh noted that Traxys is already conducting business in Ukraine by exporting ilmenite abroad and is now considering expanding its operations. This includes potentially obtaining subsoil use rights for the extraction, enrichment, and further processing of critical raw materials.
Both parties agreed to continue their dialogue to initiate and implement projects in the mining sector.
