Participants of the webinar will be taught how to fill out application forms for recognizing a project as strategic, using the approaches of the UNFC

In accordance with the EU Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), it is required to submit applications for participation in the selection of projects as strategic for the extraction, enrichment, processing, and substitution of raw materials, as well as to inform about vacant objects with deposits of critical minerals, to report on intermediate results at different stages of work in the part of resource assessment using the principles of the UNFC.

The application of the UNFC demonstrates a consistent information format for evaluating projects, their environmental, socio-economic viability, and technical maturity.

The European Commission will conduct trainings for representatives of mining and processing companies to familiarize them with the key requirements when filling out the application form for recognizing projects as strategic.

Two webinars are planned: June 6, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM CEST and/or July 2, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM CEST.
