Fifth International Conference “Problems of Geodynamics and Oil & Gas Potential of the Black Sea-Caspian Region”

On 08 - 13 September 2003 Gurzuf in the Crimea hosted the Fifth International Conference “Problems of Geodynamics and Oil & Gas Potential of the Black Sea-Caspian Region”.


The conference was organized by the All-Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Association of Geologists”, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, “Nadra Ukrayny” NJSC, Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy, Crimean Academy of Sciences,

Simferopol Association of Geologists. The conference was sponsored by the international organization EAGE.

In total, 147 scientists from seven countries arrived in sunny Gurzuf: Germany, Poland, Romania, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia and Ukraine. Simferopol Association of Geologists published a collection of abstracts and organized excursions to the Crimean Geo-model and the Nikitsky Botanical Garden.
